Why you should have a Website
Why should you have a website? What can a website do for you? Is it really worth all the trouble?
There are many answers for all of these questions so I will go over a few of them here. First a website provides basic information that establishes credibility – just as a listing in the Yellow Pages shows you are serious about your business, having your own company domain reinforces your legitimacy as a serious business. As of 2009, it is estimated that about 73.8 percent of American homes have Internet Access, according to Nielsen’s National TV panel. That means that about 86.8 million homes have access to the Internet (using the population estimate from the 2000 U.S. Census). Approximately 56 percent of these homes have access to high-speed Internet known as broadband.
Having a website allows your customers to have access to your products and services 24 hours a day 7 days a week. With a website you have an affordable and easy way to keep your customers updated on any specials you may have running as well as any special services you may be offering. Most websites can be easily updated to change pricing, as well as appearance. It provides an affordable way to reach your local market. The web reaches the world, but local customers are just as likely to use it.
It helps to reduce costs, you can use your site to answer your most frequently asked questions, as well as show your products over the web instead of printing brochures. You can also use it to obtain feedback from you customers. With E-mail being as popular as it is, a monthly newsletter highlighting anything your company is doing can also help bring in new customers as well as bring old customers back.
Most websites now are very easy to update. If you can use Microsoft Word, then you can probably update parts of your web page all on your own. I offer very easy to use web sites as well as free support. If you are having a problem, send me an E-mail or I am always just a phone call away.
